Dear Pastors and Church Family
I want to share my heart with you. Many of you have known me for years through the ministry that I founded, Digital Missions Display. I provide touchscreen displays alongside missions software from InTouch Missions. I have always been careful to disclose that the software was created by eMin Resources. I have always been 100% transparent in informing church partners of all of the brands we use. I have installed many of the systems you use, trained your people, supported the setup, and did my best to help your church stay connected to your missionaries.
Through the years providing eMin/InTouch Missions Software, it was made clear to me by eMin Resources that I was NOT an employee of eMin. I was simply a reseller, someone who sold and supported a product that already existed. My desire was always the same: to help strengthen your church’s missions program and exalt Christ.
Over time, the Lord began opening a new door.
When the Lord Began Stirring My Heart
As I served churches around the country, I kept hearing the same concerns:
-
- Missionaries needed a faster more reliable way to share letters, photos, and video.
-
- Churches needed something simpler and more secure.
-
- Technology had changed, but the platform hadn’t changed since 2019.
-
- People wanted a display that felt alive, current, and easy to explore.
These were simply real needs expressed by pastors and missionaries themselves. I prayed, sought counsel, and waited on the Lord to make the path clear.
It became obvious that churches were asking for something that didn’t yet exist. And after much prayer, God gave peace to build a new platform from the ground up.
“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” ( Proverbs 3:6 )
A New Work, Not an “Upgrade”
MissionaryConnect was never presented as an upgrade to anything else. I never told a church that the old system needed replacing. I simply built a new tool, one that was designed for the way missions works today:
-
- Browser-based
-
- Private and secure
-
- Easy for pastors and church leaders
-
- Easy for missionaries to upload their own updates
-
- Easy for members to stay engaged
MissionaryConnect wasn’t born out of competition. It was born out of calling.
What Actually Happened with eMin
Over the years, I heard from the leadership of the InTouch Missions software things like:
“I don’t know why you haven’t built your own software.” and “Waiting for you to go full time”
Eventually, when the Lord called me into full-time ministry work, I did exactly that. But I also had created the Missionary Profile Podcast, helped churches build websites at significantly lower costs than web agencies, and helped missionaries with prayer cards, website maintenance, and generally navigating the digital landscape.
When eMin learned in the fall of 2025 that MissionaryConnect existed, they requested that I not sell or support their software. I didn’t walk away from them, they walked away from me. I had sold their software to church partners up to and including the month of November, 2025.
There was no argument. No bitterness. No confrontation. I offered to continue to sell their software but they objected.
A day passed by and I received an email stating that they wanted me to take down all of the videos I had produced on my own, without compensation, to help churches understand the eMin software, including images, and all content related to eMin and the InTouch Software. I have done my best to do that. Including videos that had thousands of views.
This was a decision they made, which in many ways confirmed the direction God had already shown me.
Unfortunately, my relationship with eMin came to a end around the second week of November, 2025.
Was This Betrayal? No. And Here’s Why.
Some pastors might wonder, “Did Paul turn his back on someone?”
I want to speak plainly and with a transparent spirit. I’ve talked with more than a half-dozen pastors about this, and every one of them has confirmed the same thing, they understood that I was not upgrading their old system, but replacing it with a new platform entirely. Each pastor also made it clear that their Digital Missions Display was supported by me regardless of which software they were using.
There was no covenant or employment.
I wasn’t staff. I wasn’t under contract. I was a reseller, free to stop selling at any time, and free to build a ministry tool of my own. 2025 had been the slowest year for software sales since I surrendered to the Lord’s calling to grow Digital Missions Display. Many times church leaders would object to moving forward with the InTouch software because there was no option for the missionary to update their own information, the software required remote login, or the congregation would not be able to use their personal device of site to view missionaries. MissionaryConnect changed all of that.
Nothing was taken.
No code.
No trademarks.
No confidential information.
I had committed to not contacting any of my previous church partners, but when although I had every right to, because they were counting on Paul Douglas and Digital Missions Display to help them connect to their missionaries. And they still do, only MissionaryConnect.app is the vehicle, not eMin/InTouch.
MissionaryConnect is a completely new system. No design cues were taken from eMin or the InTouch Software.
There was no deceit.
I didn’t undermine another ministry. I didn’t speak against anyone. I simply followed the Lord’s leading.
In Scripture, betrayal always involves deception, theft, or covenant-breaking. None of that happened here.
What did happen is simple: God opened a new door, and I walked through it.
“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” ( 1 Corinthians 4:2 )
Why I Followed the Lord’s Leading
My burden is the same as yours, missions. I want churches to have a tool that honors the Saviour, lifts up missionaries, and helps your people stay connected in a deeper way.
MissionaryConnect allows:
-
- Missionaries to upload prayer letters and photos directly
-
- Churches to keep everything organized
-
- Members to connect through email, text, photos, and videos
-
- Missionaries serving in sensitive areas to stay protected
-
- Information to stay private rather than public on social media
-
- End the transfer of files from one computer to another or sitting in front a large screen to update missionary data.
This isn’t just software. It’s a ministry tool built with prayer, Scripture, and the Great Commission at heart.
A Spirit of Grace Moving Forward
I hold no ill feelings toward anyone. Truly. My desire is simply to help your church keep missions alive and central, just as Scripture teaches.
MissionaryConnect is not built in opposition to anyone.
It is built in obedience to the Lord.
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” ( Colossians 3:23 )
My Commitment to You
As long as the Lord allows, I will continue to:
-
- Serve churches with integrity
-
- Protect the privacy of missionaries
-
- Strengthen missions through technology
-
- Innovate with purpose, not pride
-
- Put Christ first in every decision
This is my heart. This is the story. And this is the reason MissionaryConnect exists today.
Do you have to leave eMin and InTouch Software? NO. But, if you want to continue to receive the support that you have grown to rely on and depend on through me and Digital Missions Display, and indeed want Digital Missions Display and Paul Douglas to be your missions and missionary advocate, you will want to migrate to MissionaryConnect.app.
Digital Missions Display is a registered LLC in the State of Michigan and DIGITAL MISISONS DISPLAY is under review for Trademark Acceptance under the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
