LinkedIn Article Connecting Members

Our ministry’s fresh idea and innovative approach addresses the pressing need for deeper connections and understanding between church members and the missionaries we support. As mentioned previously, a significant number of congregants were unable to recognize the missionaries our church supports, their names, or the nature of their missions. This lack of knowledge and engagement posed a challenge in fostering a genuine sense of community and commitment to our missionary work.

By implementing the interactive touchscreen display featuring world and continental maps, we have created an engaging tool that allows church members to easily access information on our supported missionaries with just the touch of a finger. This innovative approach not only bridges the knowledge gap but also encourages increased awareness and involvement in our missionary efforts, strengthening the bonds within our church community and promoting the fulfillment of our spiritual calling to support and uplift one another.

Paul and Tamara

Paul & Tamara are faithful believers who are involved in church ministry. Married with children, and now living in South Carolina, our hearts were burdened for missions since the start of our membership at Faith Baptist Church in Chelsea, Michigan. Our pastor, Pastor M. Adam Summers is a missions-minded preacher with a burden for participating in the Great Commission, reaching the lost in their own heart language. In 2014, our Pastor Summers asked if anyone could source or develop a touchscreen display for missions. After exploring various options, I discovered a company that had developed powerful missions-focused software for Windows. We successfully installed this software on a Intel NUC mini computer and fitted a 70″ TV with a touchscreen overlay in our church. Over the years I felt a stronger calling from God to expand the impact of this mission display. As a technology missionary, I believed God wanted me to serve in ways that a lot of churches have barriers in. This led to the establishment of the Digital Missions Display ministry. Several times a year, my family and I visit churches to install the Digital Missions Display, teach people about its features, and provide guidance on other technologies like live-streaming, YouTube, and social media. I am also a WordPress Web Developer , graphic designer, and marketing professional. Our mission aligns with the teachings in Philippians 4:15-17. Thanks to advancements in technology the software enables users to directly engage with missionaries, read their letters, watch videos, and view many images. All personal information, such as phone numbers, birthdays, and anniversaries, remains secure within the church. In April 2023 the Lord impressed upon Paul's heart to leave the secular marketing world and submit to His calling of fulltime work with this working ministry. The Lord led us to South Carolina and we are currently living in Moore.
