Biographical Info
Cassondra and I met in college at Kansas State University. During our time there, we were involved in a campus ministry that exposed us to The Great Commission and the task remaining. We were deeply moved to hear about people all over the world who still have no access to the gospel message, due to physical, cultural and language barriers. This reality broke our hearts, and we had to consider going ourselves.
God continued to lead us and in 2016 we started our intensive missionary training program with Ethnos360. The 1st phase of training was to get our bible education. We spent 2 years in Waukesha, Wisconsin studying the bible from Genesis to Revelation. In 2018, we started our 2nd phase of training in Camdenton, Missouri. This is where we would learn the innerworkings of how to plant a church amongst an unreached people group. We learned practical skills that would allow us to live in a remote location, along with church planting, and culture and language classes.
In April of 2020, we graduated from our training and became members with Ethnos360 and were heading toward serving in the Philippines. However, covid hindered our ability to get there and in 2021, we were asked to join the staff team at the Ethnos360 Training Center while we waited for the Philippines to open.
During 2021, God made it very apparent to us that He had a different plan for our life. After seeing the critical need at the training center, and how our family seemingly was a perfect fit, God made it clear that His plan was for us to stay and equip candidates before they launch. A task that is critical to the success and longevity of our church planters.
Currently I (Corey) serve as the Advancement Director at the training center, where I oversee the mobilization, communications and donor development for the campus. Our department exists to bring in more candidates to train, and financial partners to sustain our program, so we can launch more missionaries to the unreached.
